TLDR: Tritte in die Fresse mit Stahlkappenstiefeln. Yoma already summed it up perfectly: Vidargängr sounds like the world's end was imminent, like the continental crust was rapidly rupturing, sending huge shockwaves all over the planet. These 39 minutes are intensely violent, profoundly hateful and unbelievably nihilistic. Drums will batter you into oblivion, vocals will churn the marrow in your bones. The German lyrics are a huge contributor to the blatant repugnance on display here. Sick!

Spun it about 5 times over the past weekend, in a sea of overbearing DM this demo hits hard with those blasts that groove along with the pummel of the riff, and solos and synths that take you somewhere else, better than the record versions imo.

Dooms super much. Deaths tons heavy. Mashed pulpy head. Slow, methodical, doom death. So easy to hit the Buy Now button with this one. Some of the best doom/death I've heard in years. Crushing, bulldozer nastiness. Toe-tapping piledrivers and rhythmic jackhammers. Brings me back to the early days when I was a kid and death metal scared me, in a good way.
